A Lua/ReaScript that turns the computer keyboard into a MIDI input device for REAPER — notes, octave shifts, and mod wheel without any external controller.

Case file
- Workflow result: A computer keyboard that plays notes, shifts octaves, and drives the mod wheel through a single activation toggle.
- Context: Quick MIDI entry for sketching, sample triggering, and portable workflows without a physical MIDI keyboard.
Problem
Sketching a melody or triggering samples normally requires a MIDI keyboard within reach. On the go, on a laptop, that is not always possible — and setting up extra hardware just to test an idea breaks the workflow.
What the script does
LogicKeyboard turns the computer keyboard into a MIDI input device for REAPER: keys play notes, dedicated shortcuts shift the octave, and the mod wheel stays reachable. The script ships in both QWERTY and AZERTY layouts, and a toggle starts or stops it without leaving the workflow.
Why it matters
This is the classic case of a small tool removing real friction: a MIDI keyboard stops being a prerequisite for capturing a musical idea. The Logic Pro-inspired workflow fits naturally into REAPER habits, and the script remains a single file to import into the Action List.
