Facts

Roles: Arrangement
Status: Unofficial arrangement

Case file

Outcome: A standalone orchestral cover that demonstrates arrangement work without confusing it with an original composition.
Credits: Arrangement, orchestration and production: Arthur Kowskii-Croquebois. Original theme and Super Mario Galaxy belong to their respective authors and rights holders.

A reinterpretation, not an original composition

This project is an orchestral cover of Good Egg Galaxy, a theme from Super Mario Galaxy. The melody and the original work are not mine. My contribution lies in rewriting the accompaniment, the orchestration, the timbre choices, and the production of this new version.

The piece shows another facet of my musical work: starting from instantly recognizable material, respecting its identity, then building a personal interpretation without blurring the question of the original author.

What the arrangement demonstrates

The main constraint is to give the cover a reason to exist. Replaying the theme with more instruments is not enough; the orchestration must bring a trajectory, contrasts, and a color of its own to this version.

Notes

Keep the melody, change the clothes: The original theme is preserved; my work focuses on the arrangement, orchestration, and production.
Make it mine: Instrumentation and dynamics choices carry the piece into a personal orchestral language.
Credit where it's due: This unofficial cover claims no ownership over the original composition or the Super Mario universe.
