# Helena Rubinstein: PX 50

> A fifteen-minute musical commission for Helena Rubinstein, designed to accompany the annual presentation of new products.

Helena Rubinstein commissioned fifteen minutes of music from me for their
2024 annual event with L'Oréal Paris, built around an exclusive
presentation of new products. The brief was clear: accompany the event with
music able to evoke innovation, luxury, and the brand's history, without
turning into mere corporate background music.

I first composed a demo track of about three minutes to validate the
artistic direction, then twelve additional minutes split into three parts:
AVANT-GARDE, SCIENCE OF BEAUTY, and BIOTECH. The deadline was short — two
weeks to compose, deliver, and prepare the playback — which demanded
efficient writing and an instantly legible sound direction.

The music was then integrated into FMOD to be played during the two days of
the presentation. Above all, this project shows my ability to write to a
brand brief under heavy time constraints while keeping a precise musical
identity.

This commission follows the music composed for the 2022 commercial film
[The Box](/en/project/helena-rubinstein-the-box/), presented separately because
it responds to a different format and different constraints.
